Any demand for First Cask Speyside 1975? I got this when subscribed to the Laithwaites club (must have been about 1996); unfortunately 2 of the other Firrst Cask bottles we have are open - better finish them off! Don't think we've got the tasting card/notes.

Ian is there a bottle number on the bottle? It may tell us which distillery the whisky originated from.

It does appear that First Cask Speyside 1975 cask no. 5520 did originate in from the Dailuaine distillery but it is a 27 year old whisky which means it would have been bottled in 2002 at the earliest and not 1996.

Anyway here is an example of a bottle which sold for £160 at auction https://www.whiskyhammer.co.uk/item/4873/Dailuaine/Dailuaine---27-Years-Old-1975-First-Cask.html

Thanks. Couldn't remember the date. I guess proof of purchase is essential if selling these. The annoying thing is we've a couple of other bottles which have already been sampled. Better drink them I guess!

not really worth anything once opened, they have the value of an empty bottled once opened, but you never know someone on here may be willing to offer you a few pound for the open bottles.

Here is another more current example of a similar bottle at auction
