It is ok, I searched out Williams review which pretty much sums it up http://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/oldpulteneynavigator.htm
I rate the OP 12 year old higher and it costs less. Much the same story as with many of the big brands NAS whiskies which are priced slightly higher than the entry level age statement whisky as if the higher price tag will vouch for the NAS whiskys quality in some way. |

I found the 12 better too.
Navigator is good but not great. As far as NAS goes, it's up in the top half of stuff out there. There's a fair bit of spice and some good flavours but I just found it too young, not complex enough and disappointing. I picked it up last year at a Tesco clearance for £25, and for that I was quite happy with it, but there's not way I'd pay full whack for it. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| For me the 12 and the Navigator both have there good points, I wouldn't say one is better than the other, just different. The 12 is more zesty and vanilla where the Navigator is more honeyed with some sherry influence too, its 46% strength adds to the pleasure. Both worth a try, both good whiskies for there price IMO. |
