This whisky is characterised by its surprisingly light and floral scent and gentle spices, sweet vanilla, and light fruit flavours. One of each I think... I've only tried the Ben Bracken 30 (?) a couple of Christmases back which was alright.

Picked up the "Glen Marnoch 29yo" Scottish Single Malt in-store today. A nice presentation, albeit from an undisclosed distillery

You did well, it's not supposed to be released until this Tuesday!

I was surprised to find it on the shelf three days early. Took the 'early bird' opportunity to bag a bottle for me and bottles for friends.

We've all managed to buy them from the 10th (in the bargains thread on this forum) - if you look at the website the full 9000 bottles have sold out. I've no idea why the date came forward though.

In the online bottle photo for the "Glen Marnoch 29yo", the label says 9,000 edition.

However, my actual bottle's label says 11,000 edition.

So, hopefully should be a few in each of the 700 actual 'bricks and mortar' stores.

None on the shelf in my local Aldi, not sure if they have been and gone or are still to arrive. I ordered some online anyway I only went to the store as I am after the Irish 26 year old also.

It's a total disgrace if the walk in buyer can't get one, release dates should be consistent .

19 bottles of the Glen Marnoch available in the Elgin store as of 11am this morning. Might not be out on the shelf but there is in the stock room

I know little about Irish Single Malt Whiskey. So, apologies if this question is naive.

Is it a certainty that a 26yo would have to be a Bushmills distillate?

I would be sure that it came from Cooley
