|
|
| The Lagavulin 8 year old which was launched last year to mark the Islay distillery's 200th anniversary will now join the Lagavulin core range, matured in refill European and American oak casks and bottled at 48% it will be priced around 15% less than the 16 year old, so probably around £40 |

I agree.
I quite enjoyed the 8 and although a few rumblings have been made about this being a ploy to reposition the price point upwards of the 16, at least this will currently be an affordable introduction to a lovely distillery. With an age statement too! |

| Good to see they weren't tempted to reduce the ABV |

| Yes I like the fact that they bottled this at 48%, I will be happy to pay around £40 for it and if it finds its way into the big supermarkets no doubt we will find it on offer at some point. |
