| I've been told that the RSP of this iconic whisky is to be hiked up to around £80. Anyone else heard this? |

| If that's true it will drop off my drinking list, I do enjoy it but thought that they were already pushing the limits with the current asking price around £50 |

| This is the first I have heard this, I doubt I would be buying it at £80 a bottle but I will certainly tuck a bottle or two away if indeed they are going to ramp up the price |

| Going by what Chivas are asking for the likes of the Aberlour 18 year old https://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/aberlour-18-year-old-whisky/ it wouldn't surprise me if they are going to hike up the price of the Aberlour a'Bunadh up to £80. It is a good young high strength sherried whisky but it isn't an £80 whisky. |

| The Aberlour Abunadh is going to go up in price to come in line with prices elsewhere around the world.. I was told prices would go to around £65-£70 range.. I do wonder if it is to slow the sales down.. |

I recall when the likes of Oddbins and Waitrose would have a regular £10 off offer on the Aberlour A'bunadh selling it for £25, and it wasn't that long ago. There are not many products that has increased in price like whisky has over the past 10 years and with little reason for such increases other than profit.
Aberlour A'bunadh's attraction for me is its big sherried untamed rugged youthfulness and it isn't worth the prices being forecast here. |

Yes, in fact two very credible sources. One the owner of a specialist whisky shop. The other the Manager of another independent.
I agree that it isn't an £80 whisky, but I do enjoy it. So, will squirrel a couple away in the drinks cabinet. |

| It is $100 for Aberlour A'Bunadh here which is around £56, I wouldn't consider it as being worth more. Just a thought, perhaps they know they have a forthcoming shortage of maturing stock and know they can increase the price and still sell what they have. |

The A'bunadh was $59 three or four years ago. It's $84 to $99 + 9% tax now. I'm no longer interested at that price, but I do have a case or so in the bunker. |

| Agree with everyone.. It’s a fantastic whisky but not for £80 .. I would say it’s certa priced about right at the moment £45 ish.. what a shame they want to take this superb whisky away from the everyday drinking man /woman.. |

| You'd hope that if they get the pricing wrong the sales will just fall off a cliff edge... |

| It can be a great whisky if you add just the right amount of water, but if you add just a tiny drop too much it drowns it. I think £80 is too much when you consider that you could get Glendronach 18 for round about the same price (although, admittedly, not cask strength) and it will be considerably more expensive than Glenfarclas 105 and Glenfarclas 15. |

| You can get Amrut Intermediate Sherry for £80. Whilst it is not a full sherry matured dram, it certainly rivals a lot of sherry monsters out there. 57% too and a better dram than the A'bunadh. |

| Visited the Aberlour distillery shop beginning of May during the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival and bought (£46) a bottle, batch 61, 60.8%. The chat was along the line that they have enough batch 61 supply till June time. I asked about a price rise and the reply was the shop were not sure. But I think if there is a rise, it might be effective for batch 62 release. |
