Anyone tried the new Bladnoch range? Quite pricey but looks interesting! Scotland's most southerly distillery.

The samsara looks the most affordable but at around £70 a bottle....

The name
“Samsara”, meaning ‘rebirth’ symbolises it’s first release and reawakening of Bladnoch Distillery.

Tasting Notes
Finished in Californian red wine and ex bourbon casks, Bladnoch Samsara Single Malt is luscious, full bodied and fragrant, with a rich, lingering core.

Colour: Copper gold.
Nose: Quite concentrated, fruit compote, with plums, vanilla and orange blossom.
Palate: A sweet winey start, then drying slightly before more plums and vanilla flavours, some citrus and a malty core. Nicely structured.
Finish: Mellow and winey with a spicy, lingering tail.

Technical Details
Filtration: Non-chill filtered. Natural colour.
ABV: 46.7%
Proof: 93.4%
Ages: Minimum 8 year old plus rare, older whiskies.
Volume: 700ml/750ml

The prices of the new Bladnochs put me off trying them, they do seem to have good reviews on MoM https://www.masterofmalt.com/search/#search=bladnoch I am wary of reviews on whisky shops websites, I don't trust TWE at all and am a little less warey of MoM.

I found the Adela for a very reasonable price in a pub in Gatehouse of Fleet. I found it very pleasant but there would be others head of it in the queue for me. Certainly worth a try of you find it by the dram somewhere.
