I have no experience / knowledge of this distillery. Anybody try anything by them? I like the look of the Man o' Swords bottle. And its peated, so theres a plus in my book. Not sure what my ability will be to get a bottle but thanks for the heads up as I will be looking into them between now and June 13! |

If my maths is right, there will be 2,500+ bottles of each expression (10 casks x 255 bottles estimated per cask.
So ' yes' limited, but not that limited.
And £600 for the pair! |

| I tried some spirit when I visited the distillery (beautiful place) and the peated stuff was really impressive for new make. The distiller came from kilchoman and there’s a lot of similarities in the peaty stuff. I wouldn’t be spending 300 notes on it though!!! |

Getting lots of emails about the countdown.
But still think that the £300 a bottle price tag for each expression is bonkers.
Surely, no drinker with £300 to spend is going to buy an 'untried' 3yo.
So, I assume that most will end up with collectors (and risk-taking investors). |

| I doubt that there will be many whisky drinkers that would pay this kind of money to taste a 3 year old, I wouldn't, definitely a whisky for investors and I would guess it will be a long time before it turns any profit. |

| I really want to try this but I can’t justify the price, even having sampled the spirit. I wanted a cask too but again prices were prohibitive. They’ve spent a fortune at the distillery and now are trying to coin it all back soon. I fear that they are trying to claw it back too soon and would be better slowly establishing the brand and sales will follow. |

Got the 'pre-order' email today (as I'd registered interest).
A tiny bit of me was tempted. So, took five minutes to re-visit the wise words on this thread.
A brace of 3 year olds just aren't worth £600, no matter how you 'jazz them up' |

| A sign of the times. All new distilleries are asking for top prices. Who'll be the next new one to release an expensive dram? |

I was on the mailing list after I purchased both new make from the distillery. No idea where they get their price from but I suppose it is the first bottlings which is why they command a premium.
It will be interesting to see what later batches and a 5 year will cost? _________________ Pour me a glass please. |
