This time last year we knew what there range was , but as yet nothing, there catalogue was out in late October, I asked my local branch manager when the catalogue for Xmas was due and he said not until middle of November, I might be jumping the gun but I’ve a sneaky feeling we might not see any new stuff😢😢

I would be surprised if they didn't have a limited release Christmas range, not just whisky but all wines and spirits.

I popped into my local Aldi the other day to check out what whiskies they had and was surprised to find my store didn't even have any of the no age Glen Marnoch regional range, perhaps they were just out of stock or perhaps they have lost their usual whisky supplier, hopefully that is not the case.

I would have expected to hear something by now. Fingers crossed! Maybe Lidl to the rescue?

Lidl used to source pretty much everything from Whyte & Mackay. Not sure about Aldi.

Aldi do seem to be pushing an Autumnal season at the moment so it's possible that they're focusing on that until switching to Christmas which is where the Whisky seems to fall under.

That said, I don't think that the 29 year old was a huge success last year, it was still available to buy online from them until quite recently.

I noticed that, yet the Irish whiskey seemed to go very quickly. Speaks of the quality of the liquid inside I’d say.

The Irish 26 was very nice but the 29 in my local Leven store was sold out inside a week but the Irish stayed on shelf until jan 8 ish, I went to get it but it had gone but I’d got two indoors so I wasn’t too upset. My store manager did say there Xmas catalogue was out until mid November so yes fingers crossed 🤞

I spotted the Hogwash back on the shelves in my local Aldi, haven't seen it there for quite some time and the standard no age statement Glen Marnock regional malts were there also, no sign of anything special.

I wish they would stock more brand name single malts, I recall they had the likes of Old Pulteney and Highland Park in the past. It would be good to see some competition for the other supermarkets.

So we have a Glen Marnoch Speyside from 1988 bottled at 40% for £50.

Available from November 14th.

Don't know the rest yet as haven't seen the catalogue.

So I guess it's last years offering with an additional year in cask?

Good spot though, where did you find the info
