Douglas Laing mark the Chinese 2019 Year of the Pig with three single cask whiskies which were distilled in previous Years of the Pig, an XOP Craigellachie 1995 Vintage, Old Particular Bunnahabhain 2007 and a Old Particular Glengoyne 2007.

You've gotta admire Laing's ability to market anything into something... that Craigellachie looks good though, might be in for one, price depending.

I like them. I picked up Glenrothes year of the dog, 2018, limited release packaging last year, might be tempted to get the Craigellachie from DL this year.

However, fully expecting these too be priced on the higher side, which is also a DL practice in recent times.

What comes with good product, good package, good marketting = a more lighter wallet than you might have thought.

Douglas Laing didn't mention that these would be exclusively available in the Asian market when they sent me the info on them but I have since contacted them and I can confirm that the 3 Year of the Pig bottling's will be available in:

• XOP Craigellachie – Taiwan, China and Hong Kong
• Old Particular Bunnahabhain – Taiwan
• Old Particular Glengoyne – Taiwan

The bottling's will be sold as a set of 3 in Taiwan with a retail price of NT$19,999.

I’m afraid I don’t have the individual retail price of the XOP in China and Hong Kong.
