North British has joined forces with Douglas Laing to bottle this North British 58 Year Old 1960, it is a limited release of 222 bottles and it is the first commercial bottling from the distillery since its incorporation in 1885.
As mentioned it has a RRP of £1700 and should be in specialist whisky shops such as The Whisky Exchange and Master of Malt from November
Some more info on it here:

| A crazy price point. Yesterday, for the same money, I could have got two "Macallan Reflexion" with a bonus bottle of "Macallan Rare Cask Batch 1 2018" for good measure. |

Well, having to choose a 58 yo over 3 single malt NAS for 1.7k, I'll go for the 58 all day long, irrespective of the brand.
Well unless I want to scalp it instead of drinking it. If that's the case, make the Macs rain. |

| "Scalp it" ???? Assume that means 'buy to re-sell'. A logical alternative investment for some . The deadliest sin to the likes of Ian Buxton. |

Drinker - No.
Investment - No.
Niche collectible - Just maybe to a grain freak with more money than sense. |

| It is certainly amongst some of the oldest whiskies to be released and the fact that is the first commercial bottling from the North British distillery just may tempt enough collectors and drinkers to buy it at £1700 a bottle, it is not for me, as a drinker or a collector but 222 isn't that many bottles to shift worldwide even at this price. |
