Glenmorangie Allta Private Edition which is the 10th edition in the series and a whisky which aims to highlight the influence the strain of yeast used in whisky production can have on the final taste of a whisky.
More info on the whisky here:

| I was just thinking the other day that the new private edition was due, I was a little disappointed with the Spios last year but it wont put me off. Good to see that they have bottled the Allta at a wee bit higher strength of 51.2% |

| Fergie I personally loved the Spios, last year, another favourite was the Milsean. I will no doubt try the Allta at some point. |

| I am surprised that distillers don't play around more with the yeast strain. This should be worth a go if it is on par with the quality of previous releases. |

For what it’s worth, this thing got a 90 on SW.com.
Last of their 90s I tried is an Asta Morris Benrinnes and I found myself in alignment with the mark, though not with the notes. I’m kinda tempted now, but how do you not buy another bottle when you have way too many in your stash already? |
