According to sources I have read the Macallan Edition No.5 will be bottled at 48.5% ABV and is expected to be released around August in line with earlier editions.

You have got to laugh at the marketing when they describe the colour as complex and fail to mention what the whisky tastes like. Having said that the Macallan Edition series has been very good so far, so I am not knocking it, I guess this type of marketing isn't aimed at knowledgeable whisky drinkers such as the members of this forum.
