Macallan estate, another NAS £200 bottle to be balloted

Does there come a point even macallan can saturate the market

Or you can just pre-order a bottle now from Whisky Shop.

Ballot for a core bottle is how I read it. They are as bad as Highland Park with ballots. A new marketting approach... be the first to get it on the ballot, but you can order in the shops... is this the replacement for Ruby (price range)

Wouldn't be surprised if a high proportion of ballot entrants are successful.

How could they get away with a ballot if it is a core bottling?? Surely that’s misleading or fraud or something

If people are entering to get what they think is a limited release and it’s a Bottle everyone will get then surely they’ll be something that can be done to macallan for that??

There must be something about the bottle as in limited production or something

It does state they're adding it to their core range, if people are silly enough to jump because it's a ballot without reading then it's up to then.

No different to people who queue outside bookshops at midnight, when they could simply buy the next day

I'm learning the industry, ethics go out the window, it's all about money. Present it in any way, form, shape, package, and there are no rules to abide with. No agreements, no ethics.

I scratched my head reading this ballot, seems a pointless ballot given it's going core range.

Be the first to buy ballot... just waiting on the ballot for the ballot from Macallan / Highland Park.

It’s Macallan !! They don’t want just anyone buying their whisky as that would mean it wasn’t superior!!!

Macallan have ballots to give an air of superiority to their brand which is in fact, in the main, sub standard from a core range angle, just like Dalmore.
