A good Macallan but not top draw material
Nose
This has a restrained nose for a 70`s Macallan, quite rich and fruity but with a few creosote notes. Leave it in the glass for 20 minutes and it improves by some margin.
Date, prune, peach skins, hints of orange and caramel biscuit slice.
Taste
Very creamy mouthfeel, a little woody a little perfumy but good balance, any fruit is in the background with biscuit motes at the front.
Various fruit peels & skins, a slight aged cognac otewith a little pastry
Finish
quite long, warm a hint of spice coming through _________________ Pour me a glass please. |
