Received notification for ballot on various Macallan Exceptional Single Cask bottles. I'm surprised it is so soon after the Folio 5 ballot. Could Macallan be exploiting ballots as a sales tool ? As consumers many do not like to miss a bargain so will be easily drawn in.

I think the ESCs are different. Very low runs and can cause carnage when they appear on shelves. Ballot is the only way really. They are also actually good whisky unlike the NAS stuff which is very hit/miss. Not good value whisky Laughing but good whisky Wink

I thought it was quick after the folio 5 release as well. I’ve gone for the Exceptional Single Cask - 2019/ASP-6355/04 - and I’m considering one or two more, with the idea I may win only one ballot! If I win all three, I think my wife will literally kill me! I’ve just bought a big run already this year! 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Did anyone hear back if their ballot was successful? I haven’t had anything yet? Thanks

I saw a couple of bottles appear on Instagram so assumed ballot winners had been informed
