We all want to know about new bottlings asap, especially indie single cask expressions which sell through super quickly.
Where do you go for your whisky intelligence (pun intended)? |

When I am on the look out I keep an eye on
About 6 online shops in the UK and about 17 around the world,
Sign up for every news letter under the sun,
Go and see each distillery you like and get to know the staff so some of them will give you the heads up,
Whiskybase,
Forums....
But I have to walk away quite a lot or I will just have boxes of whisky on the side of the road and no where to live. So I set myself a limit and if I know that something could be coming up I will not buy anything... Like there is an amazing Arran 20yo Sherry Hogsheads just out yesterday and 254 bottles at £120 and I just have to walk away (It sold out in about 8 hours) But I know there is something else coming from another distillery in about 3 or 4 weeks. |
