Has anyone heard anything on the RMW Edinburgh Whisky Fringe in August? Who knows what the world will look like in 3 months, but the Fringe festival itself has been cancelled and it's hard to imagine mass gatherings being allowed to go ahead.

bozzo Boris is the man you need to let everyone run amok, the clown of parliament, any mass gatherings should be restricted, but hey let’s just hope it disappears ,

Someone asked them on their Facebook page about a month ago and replied with this:

We are discussing options while looking at the ongoing situation, and we expect to have a plan in place to be announced toward the end of April. Further details on what will happen with the event, and those who have tickets, will be included then. Please bear with us.

I received an update email from RMW today:
Quote:
Thank you to all tickets holders who have shown great patience while we work out what to do with this year’s Whisky Fringe. Our view is that as we can only cancel the show once, and we are waiting for further government advice to see if the event could still go ahead. The chances of course seem small, but there may also be the opportunity to postpone the event until the Autumn. As the vast majority of our customers live relatively locally and our suppliers are Scotland based, there is still some chance we may be able to put on the 20th Whisky Fringe.

So, we will make a decision by mid-June, and update ticket holders at that stage based on current government advice.

Thanks for the update. Was this sent via their newsletter mailing list?
