I just showed the picture of the bottle and tube to my wife and asked her what age the whisky was and she said she would assume it was around 10 years old, so I agree printing this on the bottle | Quote: | | "FINISHED IN A 2010VINTAGE OLOROSO SHERRY BUTT FROMGONZÃLEZ BYASS",and bottled in "JUNE 2020". | is misleading |

| That's a good point. I guess the argument from their side is that they're providing us with useful information about its maturation, but then why exactly tell us what year the cask is from and not how long the spirit spent in said cask? |

| I would say it is a bit of sleazy marketing and I would doubt that it is unintentional. |

Hold on a minute. That cant be ok to mislead the whisky drinker.
I dont trust this whisky, price tag £80 and dating the finishing barrel to 2010... it is misleading, I'd read the article first but it would have confused me to why date the barrel but leave me asking how old this is, or is it a NAS in that its a mix of young casks.
I don't like this one bit, I've no trust in the brand and that's my first impression. |

| The only reason to state a vintage of the sherry cask IMO is to imply an age and justify a price of the whisky, I find it very misleading, who oversees things like this, would it be trading standards. |

| It's worth noting that the 2010 sherry in question can be bought from Selfridges, so I'd imagine being able to purchase both would allow the taster to compare the sherry from that vintage along with it's impact on the whisky.... |

| I hate these kinds of examples that appear to be seeking to mislead customers. I'm similarly annoyed by the Glasgow 1770 bottles and boxes that try to look 70cl when only 50cl. In the long run I don't see how brands gain when a customer realises they have been 'tricked'. It leaves a bad taste. |
