Hi Folks,

It's another Rabbie Burns Day tomorrow Monday Jan. 25th. What's your dram(s) of choice to have tomorrow?

I have a few possibilities, an unopened bottle of Arran The Sleeping Warrior Cask Strength or unopened Ardmore Peated.

Cheers,
Murray

Rabbie or Robert, Murray. Naebody in Scotland calls him Robbie.

I will be having my own wee Burns night at home with my wife, haggis, tatties and neeps and a few drams to follow, I have an old bottle of Benriach 17 Solstice which I dug out the cupboard today which I will open.

No doubt I will pour a dram or two but no haggis for me tonight. For the Burns, whisky and haggis fans amongst you there is a virtual Burns Supper this evening hosted by Macsween Haggis featuring Scottish comedy actor Karen Dunbar and Dr. Rachel Barrie, Master Blender for Benriach Distillery

To take part, tune into the Macsween Facebook page on 25th January 2021 at 7pm.

I am having a dram free burns night for the first time in my adult life. To add to the insult it will be a vegetarian haggis Laughing

That said, I've tried a veggie haggis before from McSweens and it's very tasty and highly recommended.

As I regularly eat haggis, I'll be catching up next week with my last bottle of Talisker 57 north.

Getting ready for a virtual Burns night event shortly and warming up with a Scarabus Islay Single Malt by Hunter Laing.

Karen Dunbar was very good with her Tam O Shanter, but she is clearly not a whisky drinker

Fergie, I noticed that too. She just smelled the cork and then pretended to drink from the glass. Haha.
