Hi,

My friend loves Bowmore 17 Year Old - he has a stash of quite a few bottles which he is slowly working his way through.

I'm looking to get him a gift of a different whisky with a decent chance he would like it, for a special occasion.

Can anyone suggest something that could be a good choice? In the range of GBP 100-200.

Quite a few years ago he tried lots of different whiskies and ended up choosing that as his favourite. So ideally the gift would be something newish which he likely hasn't tried.

Thanks very much in advance!

If you are looking for something special from Bowmore then I would recommend the Bowmore 19 Year Old French Oak Barrique, there is some info on it here https://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/bowmore19yearoldfrenchoakamazon.htm

Yes I would second that.

Away from Bowmore how about Talisker 18 year old or Bunnahabhain 18
or something with a sherried influence Glendronach 18 or 21 year old. Glengoyne 18 or 21.

Thanks very much for the suggestions.
Couldn't seem to find the Bowmore 19 year Old. I went with the Bunnahabhain 18.
Cheers!
