So what malts would be most similar to a Macallan 25 sherry.
In other words looking for well aged but not CS heavy but not super sherried?
Glendronach doesn't provide non CS options....
And didn't like the farclas 25/30 |

The Glengoyne 25 is an outstanding mature sherried dram, although not sure if you willl find it too heavily sherried for your taste, personally i love it.
Or take a look at the excellent Royal Brackla 21 year old which is a sherry cask finish. |

That's a good call !
I tried the 28 but it was too heavy. But the 25 does have a reputation as being lighter.
