hi all i have a small whisky collection that is increasing all of the time. it is insured under the house insurance up to now but my collection is getting to the point the value of it would excede the limit of this.
i am wondeing if any one knows the best and cheapest way to insure a small ever increasing collection.
your feedback would be much appreciated.

thanks in advance Jab

You are best discussing it with your insurance company, they may ask for written valuations if your collection is quite valuable. I have heard some companies are not interested in insuring a consumable product.

I think some will insure against fire & theft but not accidental breakage, i guess accidental breakage would leave them open to fraudulent claims from people who drink the whisky then say they accidentally broke the bottle.

thanks for your replys, yes i can understand that they may not insure against accidental breakage / damage but surely if the seal etc is intact it would be ok?
