Hi everyone,
I've always enjoyed whisky, but I didn't know the difference between my Ardbeg to Jack Daniels, I just knew I liked it. Over the last year I have started to learn more and started my collection.
I have several single malts and a few bourbons.
Spey sides: Glenfiddich 12, Glenlivet 12,
Highlands: Glemorangie 10
Isla: Ardbeg 10, Lagavulin 10, Laphroig 10
Islands: Jura Journey, Talisker 10,
Bourbons: Buffalo Trace, Makers Mark
Apologies for any poor spellings. I am yet to try Irish whiskey, Canadian, Japanese.
Out of what I have I enjoy the single malts more than bourbons, and like them all, possibly Glenmorangie or Lagavulin my favourites, despite them being so different.
Any advice on what to try next? Thanks! |

Welcome to the forum. Given what you already enjoy I would say that there is a huge range of whiskies for you explore and enjoy.
Have a look at different expressions from the distillerys which you already enjoy, for example Ardbeg and Glenmorangie have a great range of whiskies to explore such as:
Ardbeg An Oa, Wee Beastie, Uigeadail and Corryvreckan
Glenmorangie Lasanta, Quinta Ruban and Nectar D'or
Jura 12 and 18 year old is also good.
Glenfiddich 15 and 18 are worth trying
For something different have a look at these:
Kilchoman Machir Bay
Caol Ila 12
Dalwhinnie Winters Gold and 15 year old
Glendronach 12, 15 and 18
Talisker 18, Storm and Skye
Glen Grant 10 and 12
Glengoyne 12
Highland Park 12 and 18
If you want to explore some Irish whiskey Jameson blends are very good and for a single pot still Irish whiskey Redbreast 12 year old is hard to beat. |

| Good start to your collection mate. My advice is don't spend too much too soon. Bottles like Deanston 12 and bunnahabhain 12 can be got for less than £40 and are great whiskies. Others in that price range include Glencadam 10 and Arran 10 which are both good. |
