Im opening a B&B and restaurant in Montevideo - Uruguay. Currently residing in Malaga Spain. But moving in a year. I want to offer 100 single malt Whiskys in my bar in Montevideo. It will probably be the only bar in Uruguay with more than 15 single malts.
So the question is. 100 singel malts how do i choose them and where do i buy them?
The selection needs to be a popular selection. Known names and possibility to buy more bottles when needed. Im thinking 1 really good that can cost up to 500eur. 5-10 round 100eur 20 below 100eur and the rest if possibly under 40eur.
Im fairly new to this. I know the big brands of malts and tasted maybe some 20-30 brands. Apart from this i need to educate myself on single malts. Book? or some kind of course/school?

Hi Mariano and welcome to the forum.
It is great that you are going to offer your customers such a large selection of whisky, i wish there were more like you. It is a big question you have asked and i will put some thought into it and make some suggestions for you when i have more time. I would suggest a range of whisky from each of the different malt whisky regions - Highland, Speyside, Island, Islay, Lowland and Campbeltown.
Sorry i havent more time this evening but meanwhile you will find a lot of good info on the Scotch whisky right here on this site.
