OK, I need to restock my Ardbeg 10 year old whisky, easier said than done. Tesco have none, Asda have none, Sainsburys have none. Then checked the online shops and many of them simply have none. Ardbegs online shop is trying to sell it for an unbelievable £38 which i refuse to pay, it is good but not that good, What is going on? Where has all the Ardbeg gone?

I believe they are now selling Ardbeg in other markets were they can get more money for it. It looks like if you want Ardbeg 10 here in the UK you will have to pay £38 for it, i wont be paying that.

I had my first taste of Ardbeg 10 yesterday and whilst it was ok, I can't really see what all the fuss is about. I my opinion it's not as good as the Laphroaig 10 and certainly nowhere near as good as the Lagavullin 16.
I would probably consider buying it if my local supermarket had it discounted by one third as the frequently do with single malts but not at full price |

I am not sure why the supermarkets are not stocking the Ardbeg but i would guess they know they could not sell a 10 year old malt for £38 which appears to be what Ardbeg want to sell it at so they no longer stock it.

It is very scarce even in the online shops. I think perhaps Ardbeg know they can get bigger money for it elsewhere than what we are willing to pay for it in the UK.

The Whisky Exchange still have Ardbeg 10 but many other online outlets have run out of stock. If it does appear back in the shops for £38 they can keep it as far as i am concerned. I will make do with the 8 bottles i got from Asda when they sold it off for £20 a few weeks ago.

I also stocked up when asda sold off their ardbeg stock so i wont need any for a while but i will not be paying £38 for it i would simply turn to Laphroaig or Lagavulin for my peated whisky.

IMO the Ardbeg 10 is a nice dram but it was already overpriced, just been having a look around the online shops and it seems to be priced around £35 plus which is just taking the p*ss. I wont be buying 10 year old whisky at these prices.

| I find it odd that the Ardbeg owners have decided to go this way with the pricing of the Ardbeg 10, I believe when they they lose the customers for their entry level bottling they will also lose future customers for their more expensive bottlings like Corryvreckan and their committee bottlings. As been said above there are perfectly good alternatives to Ardbeg and i think Ardbeg are forgeting who there core custumer base is. |

Just had a look in drinkfinder it says Ardbeg 10 is £33.99
I have always been warey of drinkfinder as it asks you to fill in all your personal details on the order confirmation page which is an unsecure page and i would not consider doing this. |

| JAB have you ordered from this lot before, as they give no telephone number or postal address which they should do if trading online also they just take payment by paypal. They maybe genuine but i would not use them. |
