Highland Park has launched a new Highland Park Vintage Editions range exclusive to Global Travel Retail, consisting of four single malt whiskies distilled in 1998, 1994, 1990, 1973 and all bottled in 2010. The Duty Free recommended retail prices are; 1998 Vintage £41 (1l), 1994 Vintage £58 (70cl), 1990 Vintage £88 (70cl) and 1973 Vintage £670 (70cl). The range will be available from April/May 2010, so look out for them at an airport near you.

Cheers William, these all sound good, be interesting to see how much smoke is in the 1998. In fact i would give them all a try as they all sound interesting.

Cheers William, i will watch out for them on my travels. HP does leave other distilleries standing when it comes to the variety of new whiskies they have.

I wouldnt mind trying the 1990 which is described as a bridge between the 18 year old and 21 year old as i love both these expressions. Highland Park are very good at keeping you interested.

I agree Alastair Highland Park certain dont stand still, they are certainly releasing enough to keep us interested. Hopefully they get the new bottles in Prestwick airport as that is the airport i pass through most.

I will watch out for these, good to see new releases that are in my price range, well 3 out of 4 of them are. Is the 21 year old still available in the Duty Free, last couple of times in the airport they had none of it, anyone know anything about it.

I havent seen any of the 21 year old in the airports i have passed through since they reduced the ABV.

I will have to watch out for the new vintages on my travels.

I see Highland Park have also released a 5cl miniature of their 40 year old whisky. It is priced at £75 from HPs shop.

HP announced this in their newsletter on Friday, it comes in a mini wooden box and is aimmed at the gift market but i am tempted myself. Wouldnt mind trying the new vintages also, pity they are only in the travel retail, a pain for those of us that dont travel much.

I had noticed the HP 21 has been hard to find at some airports since they lowered the ABV from 47.5% to 40%, i havent tried the new 40% bottling, to be honest they put me off it when they lowered the ABV.
