New look for
the Glenfiddich 18 year old which now
displays the batch number on the label.
The
Glenfiddich 18 year old Speyside single
malt whisky has been given a new look
but don't worry it is the same
Glenfiddich 18 year old that you will
find in the bottle.
The new look was created with
award-winning design agency, HERE
design, the new Glenfiddich 18 Year Old
bottle is crafted in clear glass with an
embossed cartouche, and is sealed with a
classic wooden stopper. The bottle is
encased in a premium bitter chocolate
coloured box, embossed with the
instantly recognisable Glenfiddich gold
stag and finished with luxurious gold
foil detail. The stylish packaging
celebrates the superior single malt it
contains and makes an ideal gift for the
whisky aficionado.
Peter Gordon, Glenfiddich Company
Director said: "As an independent family
run company we have the freedom to
innovate in many ways. Our Glenfiddich
18 Year Old is a superior whisky so
naturally we want its presentation to
match the quality of our award winning
liquid. This premium single malt is
nurtured and matured in small batches to
ensure we maintain our production of the
highest quality liquid. The prestigious
new look of our Glenfiddich 18 Year Old
will hopefully capture and reflect the
expertise of our master craftsmen and
the brand’s authenticity and heritage."
The Glenfiddich 18 Year Old is married
in small batches of no more than 150
casks, built by Glenfiddich’s coopers
from American and European Oak for
unrivalled richness, complexity and
depth of flavour. The casks are then
hand selected by Glenfiddich’s Malt
Master, Brian Kinsman, to be married in
large wooden tuns for a further three
months. The new look bottles will have the batch number of the whisky on
the label.
Brian Kinsman added: "The wood used
to make our casks is fundamental to the
superior taste and flavour of the whisky
and we have a team of highly skilled
coopers onsite at The Glenfiddich
Distillery tending each of our oak casks
to ensure the integrity of the liquid
inside. By marrying whisky in small
batches, we can carefully control each
element of Glenfiddich 18 Year Old’s
aroma and taste."
The single malt balances notes of oak,
baked apple and aromatic cinnamon on the
nose. The taste delivers rich dried
fruit, candy peel and dates to create a
powerful yet sublimely mellow whisky.

The new look Glenfiddich 18 will be available from November 2014 in selected
grocery stores and prestige on and
off-trade outlets, it has a recommended
retail price of £65.
