Glengoyne
release First Fill European Oak Sherry
Hogshead Single Cask whisky in
partnership with the Wildfowl and
Wetlands Trust with proceeds of the
whisky going to the WWT.
Ahead of COP 26 in
Glasgow, Scotland, Glengoyne
distillery commissioned a report to
highlight the
Effects Of Climate Change on the Scotch
Whisky Industry and the
pressing need for all industries and
individuals to come together to combat
climate change.
As one of Scotland’s most awarded
distilleries for sustainability
initiatives, Glengoyne is announcing the
launch of a special new release, the
Glengoyne Wetlands Single Cask, which
recognises the distillery’s ongoing
relationship with the Wildfowl and
Wetlands Trust which began in 2011, the
release commemorates 10 years since the
Scottish whisky distillery became the
first to adopt a wetlands facility for
liquid waste.
The Glengoyne Wetlands Single Cask 10
Year Old was distilled on the 17th
August 2011, the same year the on-site
wetlands at the distillery were created,
it was matured for 10 years in Cask No.
1259, a First Fill European Oak Sherry
Hogshead cask and it has been bottled at
59.1% ABV, non chill-filtered and
naturally coloured.
The Glengoyne Wetlands Single Cask No.
1259 produced only 300 bottles which
have been bottled in partnership with
the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, with the proceeds from the sale
of each bottle going towards the
creation of more wetlands across the UK.
The Glengoyne Wetlands Single Cask will
be available to purchase via the
Glengoyne website for £120 from today,
25th October, with profits from the sale
of each bottle supporting the Wildfowl &
Wetlands Trust’s Blue Recovery project.

Nose:
Dark brown sugar, red apples, treacle,
warm spice.
Taste:
Sweet and spicy, toffee apples, treacle,
dried mixed fruit, liquorice, cloves.
Finish:
Soft Oak and spice.
