Harrison Ford New Glenmorangie Episode - The Mountain
25th March 2025
Glenmorangie
today unveiled the latest instalment of its global campaign featuring
the legendary Harrison Ford and once
again he brings
his signature wry humour to life.
You may recall
that in January Glenmorangie Highland single malt Scotch
whisky launched a global
campaign featuring the legendary
Harrison Ford. The campaign is a series
of 12 episodic films directed by actor and
filmmaker Joel Edgerton which sees Ford
bring his signature wry humour to life.
Titled "Once Upon a Time in Scotland", the
campaign takes viewers behind the scenes
as Ford journeys to Glenmorangie’s
Highland home, exploring the
craftsmanship and artistry behind each
bottle of their elegant, complex whisky.
From mastering Scottish pronunciation
and kilt etiquette to sharing a dram
with locals, the campaign offers a lighthearted and authentic glimpse into
the Scottish experience—all presented in
a playful, unscripted style.
Glenmorangie today unveiled the latest
instalment in its "Once Upon a Time in
Scotland" campaign, featuring Hollywood
icon Harrison Ford.
Episode 8, titled The Mountain, is said
to be Ford’s favourite in the 12-part
series—it features a scenic debate
between the actor, his ‘inner voice,’
and director Joel Edgerton, set against
the breathtaking backdrop of Loch Glass
in Northeast Scotland.
There are also dramatic projections of
the Hollywood icon illuminating scenic spots
across the Scottish Highlands,
celebrating the latest episode of
Glenmorangie’s Once Upon a Time in
Scotland film series.
Striking visuals of Ford—donning his
now-iconic kilt—lit up landmarks such as
the Three Sisters of Glencoe, Castle
Stalker, and Dunrobin Castle.
The short episodes really are
humorous, and if you haven't watched
them yet I suggest you pour yourself a
glass of Glenmorangie (of course) and
seek out all the episodes on youtube.
You will find the current Glenmorangie whisky range,
including the excellent new 12 year old if you
haven't tried it yet, available from specialist online whisky

Tasting Notes:
Nose: A
little fruity and floral, sweet creamy
vanilla interlaced with delicate sweet
citrus notes of orange and some distant
peach. A little toffee, a hint of honey and some gentle
bourbon oak lurk in the background.
Taste: Vanilla with a lovely gentle spiced
edge leads along with some lovely orange
citrus, a little
toasted oak and honey and a wee touch of
Demerara sugar sweetened coconut ice.
The slightest wee bit of a honeyed edge
and late touch of peach and almond.
Finish: Deliciously
long, mild barley sugar sweetness
interlaced with gentle oak spice, creamy
vanilla and orange citrus which all
slowly fade out to leave some gentle,
slightly drying, lingering honey and
almond.
Comment:
The extra 2 years maturation has given
the whisky a slightly more bourbon like
edge, a touch more oak and gentle spice,
still full of Glenmorangie's signature
orange citrus and vanilla, every bit as
good and more as the 10 year old it
replaces and without a doubt the new
Glenmorangie 12 Year Old will be a my go
to whisky now the 10 has gone. Still a
top quality whisky for you money.
