Glen Moray 1994 Sherry Finish WWA Best Speyside Single Cask

13th April 2018
Only a few bottles left of the Glen Moray 1994 Sherry Cask Finish which has just won the Best Scotch, Speyside Single Cask Single Malt award at the World Whiskies Awards 2018.

Glen Moray 1994 Sherry FinishIf you are planning on heading to the Spirit of Speyside Festival from the 3rd-7th May 2018 then be sure to stop by the Glen Moray distillery to check out the limited edition Glen Moray 1994 Sherry Cask Finish which has just won the Best Scotch, Speyside Single Cask Single Malt award at the World Whiskies Awards 2018.

The award winning whisky was part of a series of three whiskies, along with the 1994 Bourbon Cask and 1994 Peated Cask and Glen Moray tell me that there are only a few bottles of this superb whisky left.

Glen Moray describe the 1994 Sherry Cask Finish as being full of classic and unmistakable sherry characteristics, which are heady and powerful. There are hints of nutmeg and cinnamon sprinkled over a layer of traditional sweets with lashings of caramel, fudge, dark chocolate, glace cherries and crunchy honeycomb. The finish is long, lingering and sweet, coating the mouth like a dark chocolate liqueur.

Glen Moray 1994 Sherry Cask Finish is £125 for a 70cl bottle and is only available from The Glen Moray Visitors Centre or calling 01343 550 900.

If you are lucky enough to be attending the Spirit of Speyside Festival from the 3rd-7th May 2018 and hoping to visit Glen Moray Distillery please contact Emma Ware at the distillery and she will organise a place for you on one of the tours.

Bookings should be made in advance to avoid disappointment. A tour of Glen Moray Distillery is £5 per person, any accompanying under 18’s are free of charge. Emma’s email address is: emma.ware@glen-moray.co.uk and be sure to mention to Emma that MPR has recommended contacting her.
