Glen Moray
extends official whisky partnership with
ISPS Handa Senior Open.
Glen Moray Speyside single malt signs
for three more years and toasts success
of 2026 Championship at Gleneagles.
Following four days of sunshine, whisky
sampling and world-class golf at
Gleneagles last month, Glen Moray has
announced a three-year extension to its
partnership with the ISPS Handa Senior
Open, continuing as the Championship's
Official Whisky.
The renewed agreement will see the
Speyside distillery's single malts
remain part of Europe's only senior
major when the Championship heads to
Royal Porthcawl in 2027 and beyond. The
partnership brings together two of
Scotland's most celebrated traditions,
with Glen Moray aiming to introduce its
whiskies to even more golf fans over the
next three years.
Held each July at some of the UK's most
iconic courses, the ISPS Handa Senior
Open is one of the most prestigious
titles in senior golf. The Championship
attracts more than 20,000 spectators
annually, offering fans the opportunity
to watch 144 of the game's legendary
players compete for one of the sport's
most coveted senior titles.
Glen Moray first became the
Championship's Official Whisky under an
initial three-year agreement that began
at Carnoustie in 2024. Since then, its
on-site tasting room, bottle shop and
sampling programme have become popular
attractions for spectators.
At this year's Championship, the Elgin
distillery expanded its presence with a
more in-depth tasting and masterclass
programme led by Global Brand Ambassador
Iain Allan and his team. Nearly 600
guests took part in one of four
complimentary whisky flights, exploring
expressions from Glen Moray's Explorer,
Heritage, Xperience and Warehouse 1
ranges.
The Glen Moray Chipping Challenge also
returned, giving spectators the chance
to test their golfing skills in the
brand's distinctive whisky-inspired
challenge. Featuring three barrels, six
balls and six shots, the activation
attracted around 1,500 participants
during the Championship.
All players competing at this year's
event received a bottle of Glen Moray
Forbidden Fruit, one of the latest
additions to the Xperience Range. Glen
Moray drams and cocktails were also
served in hospitality at Gleneagles
Hotel and during the Championship's
pre-event Pro-Am.
Following four days of action on the
King's Course at Gleneagles and a
thrilling final day, Iain Allan
presented this year's winner, Jerry
Kelly, with a special commemorative
bottle of Glen Moray. The single cask
#5286 was distilled in 1994 and bottled
in 2026 exclusively for the
Championship.

The extended partnership builds on Glen
Moray's long-standing connection with
the world of golf while providing a
platform for the Elgin distillery to
showcase its range to an international
audience.
Crafted in the heart of Speyside since
1897, Glen Moray has been producing
smooth, fruity single malt whisky on the
banks of the River Lossie in Elgin for
