Goldfinch
whisky merchants launch a a Macallan 26
Year Old single cask bottling, matured
for 25 years in an American oak bourbon
barrel, then finished for a year in an
Oloroso sherry oak hogshead cask.
Goldfinch whisky merchants have
released their own limited edition
independent single cask bottling of The
Macallan, the Goldfinch Macallan 26 Year
Old is a release of only 100 bottles.
The single malt was distilled at The
Macallan Distillery in June 1993 and
matured for 25 years in an American oak
bourbon barrel, then finished by the
Goldfinch team for a year in an Oloroso
sherry oak hogshead cask.
Each of the 100 hand numbered bottles of
the double oak matured, sherry finished
single cask whisky is presented in a
luxurious, decanter style bottle, inside
a bespoke navy blue and gold foil
embossed box.
Commenting on the rare release,
Andrew Macdonald-Bennett of Goldfinch

The Macallan 26 Year Old by Goldfinch
was bottled non chill filtered in
November 2019 at a natural cask strength
of 40.8% ABV, priced at £1,200 a bottle
