Gordon &
MacPhail unveils 130th anniversary
Trilogy for Distillers One of One
Charity auction.

Marking 130 years in the whisky
business, family-owned Scotch whisky
specialist Gordon & MacPhail has
revealed a unique trilogy collection to
be auctioned at the third Distillers One
of One charity event, hosted by The
Distillers’ Charity and Sotheby’s at
Hopetoun House on 10 October 2025.
This exclusive lot unites three rare
single malts whose combined vintages
span 130 years, symbolising the
company’s legacy of craftsmanship since
its founding in 1895. Significantly, the
set includes the first public release
from The Cairn Distillery, which opened
in 2022.
As the owners of both Benromach and The
Cairn, Gordon & MacPhail has created a
showcase that reflects the breadth of
its heritage. The one-of-a-kind
collection draws from each of its
distinguished brands, ensuring it will
never be repeated.
Stuart Urquhart, Operations Director at
Gordon & MacPhail, said: "For 130 years,
our family has remained dedicated to
crafting and curating single malt Scotch
whisky of exceptional quality and
rarity. This trilogy captures our past,
present, and future, with each
expression symbolising a milestone in
our journey. We are proud to contribute
this unique lot to the Distillers One of
One auction in support of such an
important cause, bringing together the
culmination of four generations of
Gordon & MacPhail’s legacy."
The trilogy is presented on a bespoke
Glencairn Crystal plinth, holding three
50cl decanters:
Gordon & MacPhail from Glen Grant
Distillery, 75-Year-Old – an
unparalleled expression of four
generations of expertise in spirit,
cask, and time.
Benromach, 52-Year-Old – a rare single
malt embodying the classic Speyside
style with a gentle wisp of smoke.
The Cairn, 3-Year-Old – the inaugural
release from Gordon & MacPhail’s newest
distillery in the Cairngorms National
Park.
Together, the whiskies embody the
rarity, heritage, and vision that have
defined Gordon & MacPhail across four
generations.
Beanie Geraedts-Espey, Managing Director
of The Distillers One of One, said: "Gordon & MacPhail is synonymous with
rare and remarkable whiskies, and their
Lot for the 2025 Auction is no exception
- a super-aged Glen Grant, a rare
Benromach and of course, the first ever
bottle of The Cairn. We are delighted
and humbled that they are offering these
treasures for our charity auction, as a
third time returning donor to The
Distillers One of One."
The Distillers One of One 2025 auction
will feature 40 ultra-rare, one-off
whiskies donated by 36 leading Scotch
whisky producers, with all proceeds
supporting The Distillers’ Charity and
its transformative work across Scotland.
