Global Spirits unveils exclusive House
of Suntory Boutique at Frankfurt
airport.

Suntory Global Spirits has launched a
new shop-in-shop boutique at Frankfurt
Airport Terminal 1’s B-West store,
showcasing premium spirits from The
House of Suntory portfolio. This marks
the brand’s first dedicated shop-in-shop
in Europe and represents a significant
milestone in its travel retail
expansion.
The store—operated by Frankfurt Airport
Retail, a joint venture between Fraport
Group and Gebr. Heinemann—was relaunched
last year as part of the ‘World of Fine
Taste’ concept.
A Grand Opening Celebration
The official opening took place on
January 30th, with a ribbon-cutting
ceremony attended by key stakeholders.
To commemorate the occasion, Brand
Ambassadors were present on January 30th
and 31st to guide travellers through
tastings, offering insight into
Suntory’s heritage and whisky-making
craftsmanship.
A Premier Destination for Japanese
Spirits
As a flagship location for premium
spirits, the boutique serves as
Frankfurt Airport’s first dedicated
space for Japanese liquors. The House of
Suntory, a pioneer in fine Japanese
whisky since 1923, leads the category
with its exceptional range.
Designed with Suntory’s signature
aesthetics, the boutique reflects
harmony with Japanese nature, enhanced
by meticulous craftsmanship (Monozukuri).
Lightboxes and digital displays feature
striking images of Japan’s landscapes
and changing seasons, reinforcing the
brand’s deep connection to tradition.
A Showcase of Luxury Whisky and Rare
Exclusives
The boutique presents a curated
selection of The House of Suntory’s
finest offerings, including the
prestigious Hibiki, Yamazaki, and
Hakushu whiskies. Among the standout
exclusives is the Hibiki 40 Year Old—a
masterful blend of meticulously aged
Japanese whiskies from the Yamazaki,
Hakushu, and Chita distilleries. With
only 400 bottles released globally, its
presence highlights the boutique’s elite
portfolio.
Other sought-after selections include
the GTR-exclusive Kogei Collection and
the limited-edition Tsukuriwake Series.
The space also features premium Japanese
spirits such as Toki and Chita whiskies,
elegantly displayed in a Japanese
garden-themed merchandising pillar,
alongside Roku Gin and Haku Vodka.
Strengthening a Legacy of Excellence
The Frankfurt shop-in-shop boutique is
the latest chapter in the long-standing
partnership between Suntory Global
Spirits and Gebr. Heinemann. As with
previous collaborations, both teams have
worked closely to elevate the customer
experience, enhance category engagement,
and provide travelers with an
exceptional retail offering.
"The opening of this new shop-in-shop is
a testament to our strong collaboration
and long-term partnership with Gebr.
Heinemann," noted Gareth Jones, General
Manager GTR Suntory Global Spirits. "The
space has been curated for Frankfurt
Airport and offers travellers a unique
sense of luxury, storytelling and
Japanese culture."
"Step into our newly opened shop-in-shop
boutique and embark on a journey of
inspiration," commented Gebr. Heinemann
Head of Buying Spirits Manuel Schilling.
"Our partnership with Suntory Global
Spirits brings [travellers] an
unparalleled experience that combines
luxury with the essence of Japanese
craftsmanship."
"We are excited to delight our customers
with the unique combination of various
flavours and aromas from the House of
Suntory," added Frankfurt Airport
Director Gordana Shiel. "With authentic
Japanese spirits, we bring a piece of
Japanese nature into the bustling
environment of the airport, inviting our
customers to immerse themselves, indulge
their senses, and take their taste buds
on a special journey."
