In light of
the Coronavirus pandemic and inline with
the Scottish government guidelines
Islay's Feis Ile 2020 has been
cancelled.
 This
will come as no surprise as many
distilleries have already suspended tours in light
of the Coronavirus pandemic, following a meeting of Islay’s Feis
Ile committee yesterday to discuss the
Coronavirus pandemic and the
implications for this year’s Malt and
Music Festival in the midst of the
global crisis the committee has made the
decision to cancel the Feis Ile 2020
inline with the Scottish governments
guidelines.
The committee released the following
statement: "We have made this decision
after lengthy discussions between the
Committee and our distillery partners.
To those who have bought tickets direct
from Fèis Ìle, you will be contacted by
our volunteers in the next seven days.
"We are devastated to have to announce
this. We love our festival and welcoming
people from around the world. We have
considered the impact on islanders,
local businesses and visitors alike.
"Please continue to support our island
and we look forward to seeing you for
Fèis Ìle 2021."
For those of you who have purchased
tickets for festival events and
distillery open days you should be
contacted in the next few days, if not I
suggest that you contact who you
purchased the tickets from.

it remains to be seen what will happen
here, perhaps they will be made
available online or via specialist
whisky retailers such as as
The Whisky Exchange,
The Whisky Shop and
Master of Malt time will
