Kilchoman has
announced the release of their 100%
Islay expression for 2025, this is the
15th Edition in the series and this
years expression has been drawn from 54
ex-bourbon barrels distilled in 2014 and
2015 making it an 9 year old whisky.
 With autumn approaching and the 2025
harvest complete, Kilchoman has unveiled
the 15th Edition of its 100% Islay
series — a 9-year-old whisky drawn from
54 ex-bourbon barrels, distilled from
the 2014 and 2015 Concerto and Publican
barley harvests.
Crafted from Islay-grown barley and
peated to a slightly lower level than
you will find in their Machir Bay and
Sanaig single malts, the 100% Islay
delivers a richer, more viscous palate
with bright citrus and malty notes,
alongside greater intensity from its 50%
ABV bottling.
The 100% Islay range embodies
Kilchoman’s field-to-bottle ethos — the
island’s only single farm, single malt.
From barley sown in their own fields to
hand malting, distilling, maturation,
and bottling on-site, every step takes
place on Islay before the whisky is
shared with the world.
Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder
describes it saying: "Fresh vanilla
gives way to tropical fruit, toasted
oak, and salted butter, with layers of
candied fruits, ripe pear, white pepper
and waves of peat smoke."
