Kilchoman Original Cask Strength

9th October 2014
Kilchoman reveal their last release of 2014, Kilchoman Original Cask Strength.

Kilchoman have revealed their last release for 2014, the Kilchoman Original Cask Strength. It has been bottled at 59.3% ABV and is certainly a whisky to keep you warm as the cold winter nights draw in.

A total of 35 ex-bourbon barrels which were filled back in 2009 were selected for bottling for this release, producing a  total of 9,200 bottles. Kilchoman say that the nose and palate have soft peat packed full of ripe fruit and citrus notes with a long clean finish. The new 5 year old limited edition release will be available worldwide, through existing distributors and online from this month.

As you would expect from the folks at Kilchoman’s this special edition is non chill filtered and bottled at natural cask strength, which presents the whisky in its purest form with un-paralleled intensity of flavour and texture.

Anthony Wills, managing director of Kilchoman, said: "it has always been my intention to release a cask strength expression once we had the stock available. This is the way single malt should be drunk. It allows everyone to experience Kilchoman with all the characteristics captured in the glass".

The Kilchoman Original Cask Strength has a RRP OF £69.
