Loch Lomond
12 Year Old
The
Loch Lomond 12 year old contains whisky
produced in two types of still, Loch
Lomond's traditional copper pot stills
and their unique "Lomond" style copper
pot stills equipped with rectifying
heads which can be used to vary the
length of the still neck. It was matured
in a combination of three types of cask,
Bourbon, Refill and Recharged casks and
then brought together.

Nose:
Sweet malt and candied pear, a little
lemon and some spice in the background.
Taste:
Deliciously sweet, fresh and rich mouth
coating fruit, candied pear and lemon, a
touch of vanilla and a mild touch of
ginger.
Finish: A lovely longish finish.
Crisp sugar and fruit fade to leave some
oaky digestive biscuit and that little
touch of ginger.
Comment:
A deliciously sweet fruity malt with
just a touch of gentle spice, loved it.
Great to see Loch Lomond turning out
such quality whisky and at a very
drinkable price. A thoroughly enjoyable
malt whisky, don't overlook it either as
a gift for your father or someone special
or simply to treat yourself.

Loch Lomond
Inchmoan 12 Year Old
This
full-bodied expression is created from a
combination of whisky from the
distillery’s two pot still styles,
before maturing in a mix of re-charred
American oak and Bourbon American oak
casks, it was created to be a
celebration of soft smoke and warming
spice and I would say that it is just
that.

Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
A little vanilla infused with some
gentle ashy peat smoke, a lovely
enticing barley sugared sweetness and
some distant mandarin orange and mango
fruitiness.
Taste:
Lovely sweet ashy smoke and peppery oak
spices fill the mouth, not far behind is
a delicious gentle candied fruitiness,
the orange and mango fruit from
the nose which has been joined by some
pear, vanilla lurks in the background.
Finish:
A lovely long finish where the orange
and mango fruitiness bows out first,
followed by the smoke leaving roasted
coffee, a touch of liquorice and a
lovely drying gentle peppery oak
spiciness.
Comment:
A deliciously peaty Highlander with
a nice wee fruity edge to it and a
lovely touch of peppery oak spice. The
46% ABV bottling strength simply adds to
the flavour pleasure. If you are looking
for a Fathers Day gift or indeed a new peaty dram to
pour for yourself I am more than
happy to recommend this one.

The ideal gift for golf fans, Loch
Lomond The Open Edition marks the
151st year of golf’s most
prestigious championship which will
take place at Royal Liverpool this
summer.
Recently awarded Double Gold at the
prestigious San Francisco World
Spirits Awards, it has been crafted
in partnership with Loch Lomond
Whiskies’ long term golf ambassador,
Colin Montgomerie – one of
Scotland’s most legendary golfing
figures.
The whisky was aged in American Oak
casks before finishing its
maturation journey in the rich red
wine Rioja Alta Reserva cask which
brings out the whisky’s unique notes
