Loch Lomond Whiskies is launching its most extensive global sampling initiative to date, 'Global Whisky Week', inviting whisky enthusiasts worldwide to join in celebrating a golden year of achievements. As an award-winning independent distiller, the brand is marking this milestone by offering more people the chance to experience the craftsmanship and character that have made its single malts among the world’s most revered.

Running from March 24–30 across key whisky markets, Golden Week will showcase why Loch Lomond Whiskies has earned its place among the finest single malts. More than just a promotional event, this initiative is a tribute to the dedication and passion that have fuelled the distillery’s success.

Established in 1965, Loch Lomond Distillery has spent over 60 years quietly perfecting its whisky near to the banks of its namesake loch. Over the past decade, strategic investment in whisky-making innovation and global expansion has propelled the brand to new heights. Now enjoyed by millions, Loch Lomond Whiskies has been the fastest-growing top 25 single malt brand for two of the past three years (IWSR). In 2024, it achieved its most prestigious honor yet—Distillery of the Year at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC)—one of over 50 awards won in the last 18 months, including top scores at the world-renowned San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
A Golden Year of Celebration

Partnering with retailers in over 10 countries, Loch Lomond Whiskies will offer exclusive promotions on its Scotch whisky range. To commemorate the occasion, bottles from its signature collection will feature golden stickers honouring its Distillery of the Year title.

In the UK, retailers such as Master of Malt and The Whisky Exchange will participate in Golden Week, while key international markets—including France, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, China, and the US—will join through independent retailers. Special Golden Week activities will also take place in Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea over the coming months, further expanding Loch Lomond Whiskies’ presence in these regions.

As a special thank-you to whisky fans, anyone purchasing a Loch Lomond Whiskies product during Golden Week will receive an exclusive invitation to a virtual tasting event hosted by: Michael Henry, Loch Lomond Whiskies’ Master Blender, Joel Harrison, whisky writer and IWSC judge and Mitch Bechard, whisky podcast host.

This exclusive event will be streamed live on April 9 at 7:15 PM via Loch Lomond Whiskies’ YouTube channel, offering attendees an in-depth look into the brand’s whisky-making expertise, guided by some of the industry’s most respected voices.
