Whisky Focus - Only Girls Allowed Whisky Tasting

Ian Murray of First Drinks presented what is believed to be the first ever ladies only whisky tasting in the UK. Women from across Wiltshire gathered at the Stanton House Hotel for the event organised by Fran and Ken Thomas of Arkwrights Whisky and Wines.

The aim of the event was to introduce more women drinkers into the category by using whiskies from both The Balvenie and the UK’s number one single malt Glenfiddich. Ian gave the ladies a tutored tasting explaining production processes and how to get the most from the nosing and tasting of the whisky. Due to the success of the evening future events are already being planned.
