RAER Whisky
Clinches Gold For Best Blended Scotch
Whisky at the Scottish Whisky Awards
2023.

Once more, RAER,
the independent, family-owned distillery
situated near Glasgow in Jackton, has
achieved triumph at the renowned
Scottish Whisky Awards. Their RAER Pedro
Ximénez Expression clinched gold,
earning the prestigious title of the
world's best blended Scotch. This win
was celebrated at the recent awards
ceremony, marking RAER's second
consecutive victory in this esteemed
category.
Building upon their 2022 achievement
with the RAER Oloroso Expression, this
year's win further cements RAER's
standing for expertly crafting
exceptional blended Scotch whiskies that
captivate both connoisseurs and
enthusiasts alike.
"The Scottish Whisky Awards is a
benchmark of excellence, and winning the
Gold Medal, again, is a testament to our
unwavering commitment to quality," said
Jaynie Kean, Director at RAER. "The RAER
Pedro Ximénez Expression is a harmonious
blend that combines the richness of
first fill Pedro Ximénez casks with the
distinctive character of RAER’s Original
Blend. This award is a recognition of
our team's passion and dedication."

The RAER Pedro Ximénez Expression is
said to be noted for its distinct
character, presenting a lavish blend of
robust, oak-infused depth and delightful
candied sherry notes, meticulously
crafted to offer a refined and
sophisticated drinking indulgence.
Securing this accolade at the Scottish
Whisky Awards 2023 not only honours
RAER's mastery in perfecting their
unique maturation and finishing methods
but also reinforces the brand's stature
as a pioneer in the independent craft
Scotch whisky realm. RAER tells me that
they remain dedicated to breaking new
ground, crafting whiskies that are not
only inventive but also firmly rooted in
Scottish heritage.
