Royal Salute
confirms Duke of Cambridge team support
at the Foundation Polo Challenge
British luxury Scotch whisky Royal
Salute is proud to announce its official
sponsorship of The Foundation Team
headed by the Duke of Cambridge at The
Foundation Polo Challenge, taking place
on Saturday 9 July 2011 at the beachside
Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club,
California.
The Duke will be watched by his wife The
Duchess of Cambridge, in what will be
the couple’s first official tour of the
US from 8 – 10 July 2011.
Most recently, both The Duke and his
brother Prince Harry played on opposing
teams in a closely fought contest at The
Sentebale Polo Cup Sponsored by Royal
Salute on 12 June 2011. The Duke’s team
claimed the trophy in front of a VIP
audience that included Neve Campbell,
Ellie Goulding and Dougray Scott.
The Foundation Polo Challenge will be
attended by distinguished guests from
all over the world, including The Duke
of Argyll. A keen polo supporter, The
Duke of Argyll is a Patron within the
Scotch whisky industry and will
represent the British contingent from
Royal Salute on the day.
Christian Porta, Chairman and CEO,
Chivas Brothers says, “Royal Salute’s
involvement in polo has grown
significantly over the last few years
and we are very pleased to announce both
our support of this event and the Duke
of Argyll’s confirmed attendance.”
The Foundation Polo Challenge will raise
funds for the American Friends of the
Foundation of Prince William and Prince
Harry. For more information visit
