Fettercairn
brand ambassador named Icons of Whisky
Awards brand ambassador of the year.

Whyte and Mackay is celebrating a major
achievement as their Fettercairn Scotch
single malt whisky Brand Ambassador
Andrew Lennie has been named the Scotch
Whisky Brand Ambassador of the Year at
the 2025 Icons of Whisky Awards. The
prestigious event was held in the
elegant setting of Edinburgh’s The
Signet Library.
Lennie received the award for his
exceptional efforts in promoting
Fettercairn on the global stage since
joining the distillery in 2019.
Fettercairn, a Highland Single Malt that
proudly celebrated 200 years of
innovative whisky-making this year, is
renowned for its tropical flavour
profile, very unique production techniques,
and commitment to natural, distinctive
methods.
Throughout the bicentennial
celebrations, Lennie played a pivotal
role in showcasing Fettercairn’s
forward-thinking approach to whisky. His
contributions included the launch of
updated collections across core and
travel retail ranges, culminating in the
unveiling of the Anniversary
Collection—a stunning ensemble of six
extraordinary Single Malts with a
combined age of 200 years, presented in
a bespoke, handcrafted cabinet.
Lennie commented: "To be recognised by
Icons of Whisky, especially in
Fettercairn’s 200th Anniversary Year, is
incredible. I have been overwhelmed by
the response to this award, and to our
200th Anniversary Collection, with six
whiskies that celebrate everything that
is special about Fettercairn. Thank you
to everyone that has supported myself,
especially the team that make these
whiskies at Tamnavulin, Jura and
Fettercairn."
Whyte and Mackay’s beachside island
distillery, Jura, enjoyed a stellar
night at the World Whiskies Awards
Scotland, earning three medals. Among
the highlights was the Jura 14 Year Old
American Rye, which impressed the judges
and secured a Gold medal in the Single
Malt Islands (non-Islay) category. Its
distinctive finish in hand-selected Rye
barrels brings adds depth and complexity
to Jura’s signature fruity, aromatic,
and coastal house style.
This recognition is a testament to
Jura’s vibrant community spirit. Nestled
off Scotland’s West Coast, the Jura
Distillery has been the lifeblood of the
island’s close-knit community since
reopening 60 years ago. Home to fewer
than 250 residents, the island and its
people leave their mark on every bottle,
contributing to Jura’s position as the
UK’s number one Single Malt.
These accolades reinforce Whyte and
Mackay’s reputation as a powerhouse in
the whisky industry, boasting a
portfolio of celebrated Single Malts,
including The Dalmore and Tamnavulin.
You will find Whyte and Mackay’s current
portfolio of Scotch whiskies available from specialist online whisky
shops such as
The Whisky Exchange
and
