2023 Gift Membership & Bottle,
personally tailored to the recipient’s
taste and ideal gift for whisky lovers,

So what's new with The SMWS Christmas
Gift Membership this year and what
exactly does the recipient get?
As well as the obvious, 12-month
membership to The Scotch Malt Whisky
Society, recipients now receive a full
70cl bottle of the Society's exclusive
single cask single malt Scotch whisky,
and there's a new option to customise
the bottle to suit your preferences.
Gone are the days of a 50ml sample for
new members—this year, it's a
beautifully packaged bottle nestled in a
sleek new presentation box.
Tailoring your bottle couldn't be
easier, buyers will be asked 4 simple
fun questions to help find a bottle of
whisky that will match the recipient’s
tastes and personality. Or they can skip
the questions and simply let the Society
decide.

a close-knit group, the SMWS today

What sets the Society's whiskies apart
is their specialty in bottling exclusive
'single cask' single malt Scotch whisky,
a privilege reserved solely for its
members. These whiskies are extracted
directly from casks without dilution by
water or the addition of artificial
colours. Instead of disclosing the
distillery's name, the Society assigns
each bottle a playful and evocative
title like "Lean Mean Sherry Machine."
This approach aims to direct focus
toward the intricate flavours
encapsulated within the whisky itself.
