Beam Suntory
launch the first World Whisky 'Ao' in
travel retail, a unique blend of
Scottish, Japanese, Irish, Canadian and
American whiskies.

Suntory has announced the launch of a
rather unique new whisky which will be
available exclusively in travel retail,
the first-ever World Blended Whisky,
Suntory World Whisky 'Ao'.
Suntory World Whisky 'Ao' which will be
available in 16 markets around the world
is the first innovative whisky launch in
global travel retail since the Covid-19
pandemic began.
'Ao' is a blend of whiskies from the top
five whisky producing countries of the
world Japan, Scotland, Ireland, Canada
and the US, the whisky is designed to
bring together the heathery flavour of
Scotland's Ardmore and Glen Garioch, the
complexity of Ireland's Cooley, the
smoothness of Canada's Alberta, the
vibrancy of America's Jim Beam and the
subtlety of Japan's Yamazaki and
Hakushu.
'Ao', meaning blue, is named after the
oceans of the world that connect the
distilleries together. Described as
having notes of vanilla, tropical fruit
and cinnamon, it is the distinctive
climate, fermentation and distillation
processes in each whisky-making region
that give the whisky its unique taste.
Fifth generation Suntory chief blender,
Shinji Fukuyo, selected each liquid
based-on Suntory's globally-recognised
Monozukuri craftsmanship – a relentless
pursuit of perfection, attention to
detail and quality. Building on
Suntory's history of craftsmanship, this
innovative, premium blended whisky
embodies the spirit of Suntory and is a
tribute to the liquid's long history.

enjoy the unique characteristics of all
five major whisky-making regions."

to global travel retail and has a RRP of
65€/$71.
