ThaiBev CEO
Celebrates Old Pulteney and Larsen
Cognac Anniversaries

Thai Beverage PLC Group CEO Khun Thapana
Sirivadhanabhakdi is visiting Scotland
and France to celebrate two major
milestones: 200 years of Old Pulteney
single malt Scotch whisky and 100 years
of Larsen Cognac.
Hosted by International Beverage, the
celebrations recognise the craftsmanship
and heritage behind both brands, while
reaffirming ThaiBev’s commitment to
their continued growth and success.
Old Pulteney Celebrates 200 Years of
Scotch Whisky
The celebrations began in Edinburgh on
22 October, honouring Old Pulteney,
known as The Maritime Malt, and the
generations of whisky makers at Pulteney
Distillery in Wick, on Scotland’s far
northern coast.
During the event, International Beverage
Marketing Director Fiona Kennie
presented Mr Thapana with bottle number
one of Old Pulteney 50 Years Old.
Limited to just 200 bottles worldwide,
the distillery’s oldest-ever release
commemorates two centuries of
whisky-making heritage. The
exceptionally aged single malt comes in
a hand-blown crystal decanter featuring
a sculptural gold base and oak outer
casing.
The anniversary continued with a dinner
at Edinburgh Castle, attended by
representatives of Pulteney Distillery
and Scotland’s whisky industry, where
guests toasted the brand’s future with
Old Pulteney 30 Years Old, released
specially to mark the bicentenary.
Larsen Cognac Marks Its Centenary
On 27 October, Mr Thapana will join
celebrations at Maison Larsen in
France’s Cognac region to mark 100 years
of the house’s Smooth Sailing heritage.
The event will bring together around 100
guests for guided tastings, a tour of
Larsen’s historic cellars, cocktails and
a special dining experience. The
highlight will be the unveiling of
Aurora, the oldest blend and first
release from Larsen’s Paradise Cellar.
Floriane Eznack, Maison Larsen’s Acting
Cellar Master, will present Mr Thapana
with a Drakkar-shaped crystal decanter
of Aurora, marking the beginning of the
brand’s next chapter.
Investing in the Future
The visits form part of a year-long
programme celebrating both
anniversaries. Old Pulteney has
introduced two limited-edition whiskies,
hosted events in the Highlands and Wick,
and staged international travel retail
activations and tasting events.
Meanwhile, Larsen Cognac has launched
its new Smooth Sailing campaign and
redesigned its bottle and label to
reflect the house’s heritage and premium
positioning while appealing to
contemporary consumers.
Reflecting on the celebrations, Mr
Thapana said: "Old Pulteney is a prized spirit within
the International Beverage portfolio,
respected for its long history of
maritime resilience, fascinating history
in the far north of Scotland, and unique
coastal character that is recognised and
appreciated in every corner of the
globe. Larsen’s heritage is just as
unique, built around a wonderful spirit
and the journey of its founder to
Cognac, where 100 years on we are
celebrating his creation. Both share the
common thread of all our brands around
the world: pride, passion and the craft
of the maker, whose daily dedication to
excellence lies behind our success. I am
thrilled to be sharing these special
moments with the International Beverage
team in person, and to offer my deepest
thanks to every person involved in
creating these wonderful spirits and
year of celebration in 2026. I am filled
with pride for all that has been
achieved, and optimism for all that is
to come for our beloved Maritime Malt
and Maison Larsen."
