Drambuie will
mark its debut appearance at this year’s
Whisky Stramash by hosting ‘Breaking
Drambuie’ sessions, inspired in theme by
the popular Breaking Bad TV series.
Whisky
Month has arrived so you can expect to
see, smell and taste plenty of our
national drink this month. But it’s not
all nosings and tastings. Edinburgh’s
Whisky Stramash has prided itself on
being unconventional and set apart from
the rest since its conception in 2012,
and this year is set to be more madcap
than ever.
The event boasts an incredibly
impressive selection of whiskies
including the award-winning Scottish
whisky liqueur Drambuie, who have been
perfecting their molecular techniques
ahead of the event on the 24th and 25th
May at Surgeons’ Hall.
To mark its debut appearance at this
year’s Whisky Stramash, Drambuie will be
hosting ‘Breaking Drambuie’ sessions,
inspired in theme by the popular
Breaking Bad TV series and designed to
showcase the vital components that come
together to create their renowned
liquid.
Herman Van Broekhuizen, Drambuie UK
Brand Ambassador, explained: "We’re
thrilled to be attending Edinburgh’s
Whisky Stramash and plan to take our
guests on a journey through the past,
the present and the future of the brand
while exploring the different components
which come together to make Drambuie. We
want to show how our blend can be broken
down and inspire drinkers to utilise all
their senses and have a lot of fun in
the process."
The event provides an alternative
platform for whisky brands to showcase
their product to both whisky purists and
novices alike, with some brands using
the event to unveil new expressions and
new consumer experiences.
Glenfiddich will unveil their new
interactive and sensory experience –
Glenfiddich: Family Run Since 1887 -
which will take visitors through the
ages using whisky as a guide. Consumers
can meet family members, learn about key
production methods, and use the senses
along the brand’s 127 year journey.
Scott Martin, founding partner, Whisky
Stramash commented: "The information
we’ve revealed so far on this year’s
event is just a taster of what we’ve got
going on. We’re blown away by the brands
getting involved this year and using our
event as a platform to unveil their
brand activity and in some cases, new
expressions. It’s a real indication that
the industry has been looking for new
ways to communicate with their consumers
and that’s exactly what Darroch Ramsay
and I envisaged when we created Whisky
Stramash."
Tickets are on sale now from
Ticketsoup.
Ticket prices are £26 per person.
