Get a FREE
bottle of Glengoyne 15 Year Old worth
£90 for volunteering to help the
Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust for a day.
Glengoyne
Highland Single Malt is giving whisky
fans the chance
to get their hands on a FREE bottle of
Glengoyne 15 Year Old which has a RRP of
£90 these days.
So how do you get your hand on the free
dram, well true to the distillery’s
reputation as Scotland’s slowest
distilled whisky, the dram can be
redeemed by donating time – rather than
paying with money.
Glengoyne are asking you to pledge one
volunteering day with the Wildfowl &
Wetlands Trust (WWT) – Glengoyne’s
long-standing charity partner – and
those selected will carry out crucial
wetland-sustaining activity at one of
WWT’s UK sites.
As thanks for their carbon-capturing
efforts, participants will receive a
bottle of the Highland distiller’s new
15 Year Old Single Malt and a personal
invite to visit Glengoyne for an
in-depth tour.
The volunteering activity will help to
maintain crucial wetlands sites across
the UK, including coppicing trees,
clearing vegetation, and removing
invasive plant species to create a
mosaic of biodiverse wetland habitats.
To pledge time to support the
environment in exchange for a dram,
whisky fans can sign up via the
Glengoyne website:

Wetlands clean water, reduce the risk of
flooding, and boost biodiversity. Over
40% of the world’s species rely on
wetlands for survival and coastal
wetlands like saltmarsh are proven to
sequester more carbon more quickly than
native woodland. WWT aims to restore and
create 100,000 hectares of healthy
wetlands across the UK as part of their
plans for a ‘Blue Recovery’ for nature.
Glengoyne was the first Scottish
distillery to adopt a wetlands facility
for 100% of its liquid waste back in
2011. This helped the distillery reduce
waste by 25% and provides a home to
14,500 plants and abundant wildlife,
fostering biodiversity and encouraging
wildlife in the local area.
Katy Muggeridge, Brand Director at Ian
Macleod Distillers, said: "The
environment is at the heart of
everything we do, and our eleven-year
partnership with WWT is testament to
this. In launching the 15 Year Old, we
wanted to give back to the beautiful
ecosystem that allows us to produce our
Single Malt. So, by donating just one
day of your time to WWT, whisky fans
will be able to help protect
carbon-capturing wetlands, aid the
conservation of migratory Geese, and
take home a bottle of this excellent new
dram!"
Georgie Cox, Corporate Partnerships
Manager at the WWT, said: "Glengoyne
constantly show such vocal support for
the importance of wetlands, and, thanks
to this support, we’ve been able to show
how much these green spaces can do for
people and the planet in our fight
against climate change. We’re proud to
call them our partners and are excited
to turn whisky enthusiasts into wetland
enthusiasts as well!"
The new Glengoyne 15 Year Old celebrates
the contrast and harmony created by the
interplay of its sherry and bourbon
casks, delivering sweet dark orchard
fruits from the former and oaky spice
and vanilla from the latter.
The result is described as a complex
dram that’s recognisably Glengoyne – but
seen from a different perspective. The
whisky has a natural light amber hue and
a rich bouquet of flavours; on the nose
you can expect malt flour, fresh hay,
dried fruits, citrus and Rosehip.
The palate is clean, with a gentle
sweetness and a hint of tropical fruit.
Cinnamon, vanilla, and apple combine to
evoke memories of a freshly baked apple
pie. A pleasant dry finish is
complemented by gentle spice and
lingering oak.
Bottled at 43% ABV, and if you havent
got the spare time to donate in exchange
for a free bottle you will find the
