Sherry Wood Finish from Batch 3 of The
GlenAllachie Wood Finish range was initially matured
for over nine years in American Oak
Barrels before being finished in
seasoned Pedro Ximenez sherry puncheons.
The
Glenallachie 11 Year Old Pedro Ximenez
Sherry Wood Finish is bottled at 48% ABV, it is
naturally coloured, non-chill-filtered
and has an RRP of £54.99.

Morrison's Tasting Notes:
Nose:
Brown sugared sweetened raisins and
sultanas, a little plum and orange,
treacle toffee and nutmeg
lurks in the
background.
Taste:
A deliciously rich and vibrant sugar
enhanced mix of
honeyed raisins and sultanas, orange infused
treacle toffee, a touch of cinnamon and some lovely gentle oak spice.
Finish:
The fruit and treacle toffee tussles with the
oak before giving way to let the now
more intense lingering sweet oak spices
have the final say, a little late
nuttiness before bittering out
slightly.
Comment:
A delicious dram, the 48% ABV certainly
adds to the flavour pleasure, if you are
looking for a different sherried dram
for yourself or for a friend to pour
over the Christmas season or during
these long, cold, dark nights then this
will certainly warm you up.
